I just loved it!

I did not know that I had a Maxine Morrey book on my shelves that I hadn't read. And so, when I was sick of The Vine Witch, and stopped in between to peruse my shelves to find something, anything better than the romance in that, I started this.

And I loved it!

This was just perfect, what with the cold season, a kinda haters-to-enemies trope, seriously good friendships, a really to-die-for brother-sister relationship, angst done perfectly; I can't praise this enough.

I also liked the hoarding, and the organising aspect of this. I really liked [b:The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing|22318578|The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing|Marie Kondō|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1418767178l/22318578._SX50_.jpg|41711738] by Marie Kondo, and though this did the decluttering in a slightly different manner, I was inspired all the same.

This was an awesome feel-good book, and I will definitely be adding more of Maxine Moreey's books to my tbr.

I loved it, and I recommend it to anyone who likes Christmas romances, feel-good novels, slow burn
they don't get together till like the last few chapters, but I loved it for that
, well-done angst, awesome relationships other than the romance, and has read any other books by Maxine Morrey.

This was really cute. The whole professional organizer angle was new, and I liked it. Janey basically sets up her best friend/professional organizer Kate and her brother Michael (whose house is a DISASTER and has agreed to host Christmas)... and things go from there. Enter a cast of fun side characters (well, not whats-his-name, but everyone else) and a dog, this was a super cute, fun, holiday read!!

Super cheesy but with any Christmas romcom book I expect that and honestly I really want the cheese factor. Overall super cute

The Christmas project follows the story of Katie Stone and Michael O'Farrell. Katie is a home organiser and is hired by her friend Janey to organise Michaels house. Michael has been divorced for a couple of years and his house is a disaster. They have until Christmas to get it organised.
Their relationship starts out badly with Michael being very against Katie coming into his house and doesn't believe he needs any help. However the more they spend time together organising the house the more the 'old' Michael comes out and of course they start falling for each other.
This is the second book of Maxine's that I've read and I must say I love and dislike her all at the same time. Why? Because in both books the couple take so long to realise they are into each other! But don't let that put you off because this story is so sweet and frustrating at the same time.

Not a super Christmasy book, just a nice book set around Christmas. Written much better than a lot of the Christmas books out there.

I instantly took a liking to Kate. She was witty, sarcastic, strong minded, stubborn and just a great character. If she was real, I’d want her as my friend. I loved that we only got to see glimpses of her past until she has an argument with Michael. Michael.. Well, he was a great character. A bit rude and arrogant to begin with but we see him transform in to this caring, loving, handsome (even more so) man. I think he is a character that I could have read about all day. Janey was a welcome addition of a motherly figure, she cared so much for Kate and I loved the way that she seemed to be the protective figure in her life.

The writing style was quick and easy to read. Before I knew it, I was half way through the book and a couple of hours further into the day. One minute it was smiles, laughs and giggles, the next it was a sniffle and a quick, wipe the eye moment.
