Eh, after reading about Liam Wilder, this one wasn't as exciting. Don't get me wrong, I laughed out loud at some parts and swooned with Julian's thoughts, but the steamy scenes were bland and barely existent. It sucked to literally FEEL the chemistry, but never see or read a real outlet for it.

Cute

This book was cute but a little boring. I had higher expectations of this book than what I received. Just something about it did not click with me.

I have not moved ALL DAY!! I have literally sat and read this whole book.

I have never laughed so much at a book in all my life!!! Josephine is amazing! She would be the PERFECT friend for everyone.

I loved this story so much, it had everything in it... Comedy, romance, fashion, New York!! The most amazing place ever!! Besides Paris of course :P

I REALLY hope there will be a second book... I would love to see how Lily and Dean get on ;)

5***** :) this was the first book I have read by this author and I will defiantly be reading more from her.

I really loved this book because it was simple and sweet and didn't pretend to be anything more than just a normal romance between two people, who just happened to be gorgeous. There isn't another woman who steps in and causes drama, there isn't some horrible trauma from their pasts that is affecting their present, and there is no miscommunication that comes between them. In other words, this book is not your same old, same old romance but still manages to pack a delightful, funny punch.

I love that Julian is wealthy but not in an overly flaunty way. I honestly expected him to be more of a manwhore and a bit on the jerky side but this wasn't the case at all. He's actually pretty down to earth, sweet and romantic. I like Jo because she never tried to be somebody that she wasn't. She stayed true to her roots and wasn't afraid to admit, even flaunt that she shopped at thrift stores and Target, even though as a fashion blogger living in New York, some might have expected more.

Their attraction is instant and they are instantly comfortable with each other right away but their romance moved at a more realistic, steady pace. I love that Julian never shied away from his feelings as they developed for Jo and that he was even understanding when she was hesitant because he was her boss. I also really enjoyed the playful banter between them. They were the most realistic couple I've read in a while.

This is a sweet, simple read that doesn't pretend to be more than that and this is the exact reason you should pick it up today!

*I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review

I am pretty disappointed in this book. It was just okay for me and pretty mediocre throughout.
The lead female is constantly perky and excited for life...noone can be that enthusiastic and happy all the time! It got a little annoying too.
I actually liked the romance but there wasn't enough of it. There was also very little steam or smut. The storyline wasn't the best and quite one level. There was some okay humour in there but it definitely isn't one of R S Grey's best books.
I read Scoring Wilder first and I feel like I'm constantly trying to find another of her books to live up to that one and failing!

Armed with her vintage Chanel flats and her popular fashion blog, Josephine (Jo) Keller leaves everything behind in her small Texas town and moves to the Big Apple with the dream of landing her dream job with a major fashion label as a blogger. Not only searching for her dream job, she is trying to balance her life in order to be able to pay back her insanely high fashion school loans and rent. Luckily, she meets Julian Lefray – the brother of Lorena Lefray of Lorena Lefray Designs at a fashion gala. Coincidentally she applied to his job advertisement earlier that day for a personal assistant. While Lorena is in rehab, Julian has moved back to New York to help his sister and help rebrand her label. With Jo by his side they quickly start to rebuild the foundation of her label. Unfortunately for the both of them they both want to rip each other’s clothes off whenever they look at each other. Told from dual points of view we get a dynamic story that allows us to see the story from both sides.

Not only was their sexual chemistry extremely teasing to us readers, but the two of them are hilarious together. Their little quips back and forth had me giggling out loud. Julian and Jo quickly drew me into the story from the beginning and I loved both of them, and I even adored the secondary characters, Lily and Dean. It was refreshing to read a book where I liked all the characters and was not wanting to hit my head against the desk as I read about annoying characters.

I’m so surprised it has taken me this long to read a book by R.S. Grey! I absolutely loved her writing and the story. If you’re looking for a comedic, lighthearted, fluffy, romantic (with quite some steamy scenes) then this book is for you. I would most definitely recommend that you at least try this book by her! I definitely plan on adding some of her books to my bookshelf, the next one being: The Allure of Dean Harper (it’s a companion to this one, with some appearances from this book, but it can be read separately from Julian Lefray).

Happy reading and let me know if you pick this one up! You won’t regret it!
