The conflict is stupid . The stopping at a racist gas station does not feel needed. I don’t want racism in my romance

The writing was a little different from her other books which I realized is because this was her first one (didn’t know before reading) so it was nice to see how she’s grown as an author. I liked the premise of the story but wasn’t fully invested in the characters relationship. I think they could’ve been developed more but again for her first book it was good.

This is a romance that starts as two people who can't stand one another having to take a road trip together that morphs into them becoming friends-with-benefits, whilst dealing with how being with the other person makes them step outside their comfort zone. I enjoyed the banter and the character development that ensued, especially for our character of Jolene. I look forward to reading more works by this author.

I’m so mad I let this book sit on my shelf for so long because this book was so good. I wanted to see Jolene kill it at work and I wanted Jason to make a new friend outside of his best friend. The chemistry between the two MC was spot on!!!! I loved watching how everything unfolded and how everything flowed it nothing felt rushed. I think the only issue I had was Jason needed to get his lick back for overhearing his coworkers talking sh*t because he doesn’t socialize with them. I he didn’t have a real life outside of work but that’s none of there business to worry about. Oh and I loved Jason’s mama and Auntie they’re the MVP’s of the book I wanted to listen the the podcast so bad 😂
