This story had me in tears multiple times. I felt so seen and understood by the main characters' experience. I picked the book up by mistake, thinking it was Icebreaker Hannah Grace. The first sentence had me hooked. The main character is a first year university student, bisexual, struggling with anxiety and depression, while simultaneously having to perform as an athlete. Oh, and he's navigating fixing his relationship with his parents. This book was simply perfect for me. I related so much. Icebreaker will forever be one of my favourite comfort books on my shelf for the rest of my life.

I liked the book but the ending was very lackluster for me. The whole book went on and on about who would be the number one pick and then in the end, we didn't get to figure it out. Like yeah, it's nice that they labeled their relationship and what not, but I found the ending to be boring. I also thought the ending of the last chapter before the epilogue wasn't that great. Kind of dull. It didn't leave me feeling giddy or anything like that.
