Though this pales in comparison to the excellent Bad Monkeys, the adult middle grade style of Matt Ruff is endlessly endearing. This is still a miss.

This book had a lot of upfront potential and it had a Ready Player One feel to it, but I got stuck in the details that didn't move the plot or characters forward. I thought it had great potential for looking at identity and who we are, but it seemed to insert it amidst the drama of the storyline. All the aspects and characters lined up a little too neatly and it just seemed convenient that certain people had backgrounds that could be helpful. A good skeleton concept for the book but it unfortunately didn't deliver.

Danach noch eine Moral Von Der Gescicht und ein unhappy End.

20 Euro waren zuviel dafür.
