First Read-through: December 2018
Yep! So I’m totally sold on this manga series now! The characters are all super fun, the dialogue is great (often either cute, funny, or a perfect mix of the two), and the illustrations are beautiful, with intricate little details on nearly every page. Not to mention, the plot is both charming and rather interesting as well.

Thoughts:
  1. I love how each chapter is something a bit different, but they often all connect and are in chronological order as well, with running subplots throughout. The pacing seems quite good too. I never feel neither bored or rushed while reading.
  2. This particular volume was lovely. The new character we’re introduced to, Akane’s friend, certainly livened things up a bit, and I adored all of the cherry blossom festival scenes.
  3. Chinatsu and Akane are my current favourite characters. I love both their personalities and their dialogue is always great. Kei and Chito often have me amused too, just in a more subtle way. ;)

In this volume, Makoto:
-Enjoyed some delicious prepared wild bakke
-Attended the cherry blossom festival with her cousins
-Met Inukai, an intriguing fortune teller with an unfortunate spell cast on her
-Tried to help break Inukai's spell, but failed rather miserably
-Practiced flying some more
-Mentored Chinatsu, a newly made witch-in-training
-Learned another, rather peculiar spell from Akane
-Visited a pretty, secluded forest and harvested more wild vegetables
