This is a new to me author . I loved reading this story and watching the love form between these two was amazing. You couldn't help but to fall in love with these characters.

Beautiful Surrender took me by surprise and shook me to my core with its intensity. I was expecting a light read about an age-gap romance with some BDSM kink. Well, it actually was an enemies to lovers age-gap romance but it was anything but a light read. Ivy Wild put me through the wringer with two emotionally broken souls fighting to stay afloat in life by adapting fire and ice personas to protect their fragile hearts. Xavier is a middle aged successful businessman with an icy demeanor to keep people away from himself. His strongest defense is the tight control he has over his feelings. Aubrey, on the other hand, is a lonely woman who has never truly been loved by anyone passed her worth to them, and she puts up a fiery front to push down her self-hate and self-doubt. She hides all her emotions except anger to protect her heart. So, our fire and ice couple clash, fight and test each other, all the while trying to trump down their intense attraction towards the other.
Again, I was completely immersed in their love/hate relationship and appreciated Ivy’s story telling.

Fire and Ice
Aubrey and Payne were opposites side of a coin but they were more alike than they even knew. She was brash and outspoken for the daughter of a career senator, and he was cold, calculated and a refined businessman. When fate bought these two together, they tore down walls, submitted, and learned that everyone is worthy of love. This book indeed was a beautiful submission in every sense of the word.

This book was interesting.
It took me a bit longer to get into, like there was a slow burn for me to build into the storyline, but when it happened, it happened!
This book was created to show there is beauty in brokenness, and that perfection isn't needed everyday.
It was an interesting book and not my first by this author and won't be my last.

2.5☆ This book is a beauty and the beast retelling, age gap and enemies to lovers. Now it has two of my favorites things age gap and beauty and the beast but when I tell you this was bad it was bad. The FMC dad is a politician and he lost his reelection and want a recount and well the MMC supports the recount if he can take his daughter as insurance so that he gets his money back. Their are many issues I had with this book but the main one was the MMC who would say that he loved the FMC then 10 seconds later say that he didn’t mean it and that he doesn’t want her ( it happened more then twice in this book) and yet at the end they ended up together after he lied to her and many more things.

Aubrey Knight is the daughter of a Congressman who has had to always appear perfect in public for her family. She finds any chance to rebel privately having trysts with men her father would never approve of. When her dad narrowly loses his re-election and needs money to fund his recount, Aubrey becomes collateral. She is to stay with Xavier Payne in his vineyard mansion until the recount either proves her father won and the money is returned or if he loses until he pays Xavier back. Aubrey ever the dutiful daughter agrees to go along with this ludicrous plan for her father’s sake but she doesn’t plan to make her captivity easy on Xavier.
Xavier is a powerful businessman with a proclivity for control. Aubrey throws everything wildly out of balance and is constantly fighting to cross his carefully constructed boundaries. Despite their rocky start their attraction is undeniable. Xavier doesn’t want to pull Aubrey into his lifestyle especially when he is hiding a big secret that will change everything. Will she give some of her control to Xavier or will their power struggle end in heartbreak?
I was so invested in this couple. I was dying to know what secrets Xavier was hiding on the third floor just like Aubrey. I liked that Ivy tackled a different aspect of BDSM then what you typically would expect from the way this has been popularized in media recently. Xavier’s need for control isn’t necessary sexual but psychological. It was fascinating to read more about this aspect of that community.
My one and only critique is that I wish this was just slightly steamier. I really wanted to get more of Aubrey and Xavier exploring their new relationship but I know there are some extended epilogues coming that may help quench my curiosity.
Overall this was a fantastic and unexpected story that had me flipping the pages to learn more about our mystery man. Xavier Payne has new book boyfriend written all over him.

Such a good story!! The few little twists in there I did not see coming. Aubrey is the daughter of a politician who owes Xavier money, he ends up taking Aubrey as collateral until the load is paid in full. Xavier's need for control and Aubrey being a straight up brat leads to some HOT sparks flying between them. This was such an entertaining read, I am so glad it was recommended to me!

THIS BOOK! This is my first book by Ivy Wild and I wasn't sure what to expect. Aubrey and Xavier were both so complex and interesting. I loved this story and it was so interesting and different.
Aubrey is the daughter of a life long Senator. She is and always has been the daughter who did whatever her parents asked her. She dressed how they wanted, looked how they wanted and was so suppressed in everything she did. She was so sick and controlled but didn't know how to get away from it.
Xavier is a powerful man. He has money and status and no one messes with him. Actually, they go to him when they needs favors. They know he has a lot of contacts and pull.
They are brought together because of some bad behavior. First by Aubrey herself, but then by her father. And what starts as an entirely contemptuous relationship blossoms into more. As they get to know each other, and more often antagonize each other, we see their walls start to slip. When they finally start to build something, you see the struggles each of them has lived with. You see how they really see themselves and then you see how they see each other.
The relationship between Xavier and Aubrey is supposed to be an age gap, which technically it is, but you never really see or feel like the age difference is a factor for them. It's not ever really a big deal between them.
**SPOILER**
What was a nice difference from the usual dom/sub books. While it's not the largest part of the story, it is significant to the storyline. I have actually never read a dom/sub book like this. Most dom/sub books is more about bdsm than just dom/sub. There's always a bondage or sadistic part to it. This is all about psychological domination, which was so different and actually very interesting.
Overall, I think that Ivy has written a beautiful story about broken people learning to help each other break down the walls that they've built up and grow together. I cried several times reading this book. Great job.
