Midnight
4 Stars

Strong start with a good premise about people who begin behaving violently for no apparent reason.

The ultimate explanation is a bit far fetched and there are some very disturbing scenes that may be off putting for some.

I've never read a Dean Koontz that I didn't like. Werewolves? Sort of. Genetically-modified humans...who devolve? Awesome. Computers-melding-with-humans? Highly disturbing. Great book.

Would've given it a 4 but I ruined my eyes hard about two pages from the end with the heavy handed "responsibility" theme. Then the "heavy metal is the devil" better destroy it... Eh. I think it would've been better if it had ended sooner.
