This is a book you should listen to, not read. I honestly was like, wait, is this really written, or are they just shooting the shit. Either way, it was funny and sweet and so great. They both have really good voices and that made the experience even better.

My husband goes to bookstores for my birthday and Christmas and will ask whoever is working for a recommendation for me, based on what he has seen me carrying around the house the past few months. It's an awesome tradition and has led me to so many awesome books. This year, at Christmas, he took our daughters with him, and they both got to pick out ANY book for me from our local bookstore! My younger daughter (7) picked this one, based I'm pretty sure, on the cover. What she didn't know what that I had started it on audio, loved it, but it had to go back to the library before I had gotten too far, so I was thrilled with her pick. I LOVED reading this book! I'm a huge Offerman fan, and didn't know much about Mullally, and after this, I love them both. Hilarious, real, not too serious. Definitely recommend.

If you read this book.. get the audio version and listen to Megan and Nick narrate. So much better! I am a big fan of both and loved this little peek into their lives. Great fast read/listen!

I feel like these two should do a podcast about relationships.

Not that I would listen to it, but reading conversations set out like this is just “meh” for me.

Plus I’m kind of in a funk about celebrity memoirs.

Just didn’t quite hit the notes I would have wanted.

I listened to this as an audiobook which I really enjoyed - it felt more like Nick and Megan were just talking to each other than reading a book.

My favorite parts:
1. They each got their big tv hit at the age of 38. When they met, Megan was 41 and Nick was 30. In both cases - they didn’t let age be a deterrent and they talked about how they are always learning and growing and changing.
2. Surprise wedding - they invited friends and family over for a little get together/housewarming the night before the Emmy’s and surprise! got married.
3. Their favorite couple thing to do is put together jigsaw puzzles while listening to audiobooks. Yes to this!

Not sure if you can really call them spoilers on a memoir but since they are my favorite parts - I’ll hide it just in case. :)

This was very funny to listen via Audible. It was cool to learn about how they met and some of the struggles they had as a couple. It is very relatable.
