This one felt extremely slow compared to the others in the series. So many seemingly useless sub-plots and frustrating minor character arcs. At least it appears like a solid landing for the next book to go from and hopefully make some progress!

The writing style is starting to grate on my senses. Just two-three pages per person of interest at a time. It is almost like it is written for people with short attention spans.
Add to all this that the story itself it laced with so many deus ex machina that it becomes laughable. There are some redeeming elements and my invested time that keeps me reading, however.

Not as intense as book 3, but overall a good read. Just when you think things can't get worse, they do. But there are glimmers of hope and finality at the end.

Another top level addition to the series. Didn't think the Ildirans could overcome the treachery, but they did with the Adar. Good to see the doorbells and wentals destroying the hydrogues.

Maybe due to it being Corona, but this book, for most of it, depressed me. I had read the series before, knew what was coming, and it just depressed me. All the things came to a head. The Ildiran mutiny, the Hydrogues, the Klikiss Robots. Just got me down. I was hoping things would change by the end, and thankfully they did. I guess I was not as affected in the past, but it got to me this time. Luckily there was the beginning of some positive news. The king and queen make a good story, until the very end. Then the Roamers FINALLY finding a way to attack the warglobes. And Jona'h getting his kingdom back.
