Persephone's character is a bit annoying and immature, but I guess that's normal for a girl in her early 20's. I really enjoyed Hades character though.
If you're interested in a Hades-Persephone retelling, I recommend Neon Gods by Katee Robert. It's a bit better.

I thought this way going to be a cheese romantic guilty pleasure read. Did not expect the amount of spicy scenes. My main struggle is with the use of stereotypes, the whole idea that he changes so drastically for her, the fact the she "discovers" herself because of him, I get that you could find that romantic but it just didn't click with me.

I really enjoyed reading this modernized take on the Persephone and Hades myth. There were some points I was annoyed with Persephone where I just felt like her character needed a bit more oomph, like she needed to just be....more than what she was. I guess I think I felt she needed to have a little more depth or more of a personality outside of her shell and outside of being a hot, blonde Goddess.

From an audiobook perspective, I thought it was a relatively easy listen and I could jump back in pretty easily too. I also really liked the narrator, she took a bit of getting used to in the beginning but I loved the way she read by the end.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the characters and story develops over the rest of the series.

I read another retelling of Hades & Persephone and as much as I love the story, I’m not sure if it was the writing that lacked or the narrator. I can’t be sure. But I found myself skimming a lot and that was disappointing considering I love retellings.

Not a bad book, but I didn't really like any of the characters. The romance was pretty bland and sudden so I didn't really believe that the romance was authentic. I found the plot to be kind of boring, but I respect the character development that happens. This would be a great read for someone who loved really good stories on wattpad and that is not an insult to this author if you understand what I am talking about. The writing isn't bad either, I just don't think this one was a good fit for me. A very sensitive person may want to peek at the trigger warnings for this one.

i felt like this was enemies to lovers in an extreme way. persephone was bothersome at times cause her anger didn't make sense, and i didn't like this version of Hades being secretive or manipulative. i liked the girlfriends a lot but this wasn't a positive love story to me

Excellent pacing, fun characters, and some fun twists and turns. This story was not all too predictable at all.
It kind of gave Lucifer (TV show) vibes as well as Tangled (the movie).
Overall, great book. I finished it in two days, which is not my norm.
