First off let me start by saying I loved this book. It wrapped me up and kept me hooked until the very end. The author kept adding twists and turns. Once you thought you knew what was happening, something drastic changed the course of the whole story. The pace of the book was perfect and didn’t make the story feel rushed. The best part of the book is the many layers it has to it. This book is so much more than the brief opening summary leads you to believe. It is home to one of the most well written characters, Willa. The author perfectly gets into her head. It also includes Willa’s interactions with the supernatural. I’m usually not one for books on ghosts and ghouls but this one combines them seamlessly into the horrors we see present in the physical world all the time. Overall, this was an amazing book that I would definitely recommend!

I loved this book so much, and I honestly wasn't expecting to. I thought this would just be a fun little mystery with a hint of supernatural elements but what I got was that times ten. This book isn't too deep or difficult to understand and not too long which is why I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone and will now be peeling my eyes open for anything written by Katie Alender anytime I find myself in a bookstore.
