Another pretty dense Card novel, but overall an enjoyable read. Some of the philosophy behind it can be a bit heady, but it honestly has a better mix of philosophy/science and psychology/relationships/character development than Xenocide did. This felt like a good end to the quartet for me, so I’m curious to see what gets added to the story with the addition of Ender in Exile.

Wraps the series up nicely, but it was a painful read. It seemed arrogant at times.

I think this is my least favorite book of all time. I enjoyed Ender's Game and loved Speaker For the dead but Xenocide was hard for me to get through and it continued on into this book. I can't even summarize what happened because not much did but it took over 300 pages for a lot of nothing to happen. I would highly recommend the first two books in the series but you aren't missing much by skipping these last two.

What the heck.
Spoiler This book just pulled explanations from thin air that weren't even close to believable in order to conclude the plot.
Frustrating.

Liked it better than Xenocide, but not nearly as much as the first two books.
