This is an excellent little companion to ATLA and it can make for a keepsake of the series as well. it in no way satisfies any cravings one has for more original Team Avatar, it just makes you want more. Be prepared for that if you read it.

Eh, it's mostly a rehash of the three seasons. I learned there is a seasonal affinity for bending, though: winter is for waterbending, spring for earthbending, summer for firebending, and fall for airbending.

there’s nothing wrong with this, but idk how it can be considered a book so it’s hard to rate? it’s kinda just a bunch of facts for fans which is me so i loved it. but just weird to rate

This wasn’t really what I was expecting. It was kind of just a recap of what happened in the Avatar series and I was hoping for a little look into the grown up Team Avatar. The pictures were weirdly drawn and the writing seemed very formal. It just doesn’t seem like something Aang would have written to Tenzin.
It was a nice recap though and I absolutely loved all the little pull outs and extras.

Nothing much to say about this book. As someone who loves the original series, it was really sweet and cool to read but... as someone who loves the original series it gets very repetitive. The book recounts the characters and events of the past as if Tenzin would not grow up learning about them through school and his parents. It just felt a little forced. The idea and sentiment is sweet though.
