I went in with low expectations and loved this book! These characters are just...something else. I do need one FMC that doesn't start as a
virgin
, though.

1. God of Pain - Annika and Creighton
2. God of Wrath - Cecily and Jeremy
3. God of Ruin - Mia and Landon
4. God of Malice - Glyndon and Killian

Horrible book. The writing is mediocre and a complete replica of the rest of the books in the series. Apart from the main character, the rest of the characters are predictable and hard to love. Slow paced because some of the internal monologues (especially Landon's) are incredibly repetitive to the point where it gets boring. The plot in of itself is not only repetitive but predictable and unentertaining, the only contrast is Mia's backstory which adds interst to the story. The ending left much to be desired, it felt rushed and, in my opinion, was not thoroughly resolved. Honestly, we know what we sign up for when we read a smut book like this, but this book doesn't even meet those standards. This felt like a complete copy paste of the rest of the series, incredibly underwhelming and overall boring.

aaaaand… this was another “psychopathic” rich white guy with antisocial behavior who tried so hard to be edgy but was just corny af.

this was the same recycled tropes from the previous books in the series, but just more awful, terrible, ableist, and misogynistic. not only that, landon and mia’s relationship was just so fucking boring. literally copy-and-pasted from her previous books. not only were they boring, the whole book itself was boringgggggg to the point of tears.

the way landon only viewed women as holes to be used made me want to throw him off a cliff jfc he was so much more disgusting and insufferable than any other rk mmc. he is not capable of loving and the fact that rk tried so hard to make it seem like he loved mia, it’s not possible. he’s so full of himself to even try to be in love with someone and i felt so bad for mia in the beginning. until i didn’t. after that stupid ass “plot twist”, she chose him over her literal twin sister. now, mia can also fuck off.

like name a better duo than rk and ruining female relationships for no good reason then not resolving it properly, namely in this book: mia and maya. i’ll never forgive her for doing that to them and to so many other fmcs. she’s such a misogynistic loser :)

if maya sokolov has a million fans, then i am one of them. if maya sokolov has ten fans, then i am one of them. if maya sokolov has only one fan then that is me. if maya sokolov has no fans, then that means i am no longer on earth. if the world is against maya sokolov, then i am against the world.

the only part of the books i enjoyed were gareth, killian, and nikolai’s bond with maya and mia <3

rk needs to come up with some new ideas at this point if every mmc is going to be the same. i have no idea how landon is her favorite, he was the most boring. *big yawn*

Landon is my least favorite MMC in this series.
He really is an insufferable unbearable character.
His story looks like a bit as Jeremy (God of Wrath) and I found many repetition a bit annoying regarding his character, as if there were nothing else to say about him.
Mia is an interesting character, fierce and strong despite her story… but again she has too similar characteristics with Cecily (God of Wrath).
Unfortunately the comparison with the previous book is to the detriment of this one.

I really do love the side characters though like Niko, Remy and Bran (as always).

The audiobook is narrated by Mackenzie Cartwright and Shane East.
It is a duet narration and it was perfect.
I think I won’t recover from Shane’s whisperings, anytime soon

This is probably my least favorite of the series so far. Which I was expecting, but it is still a good book.

As expected I still didn't like Landon all that much. He's still not my favorite character in the world. But I did like him and Mia together.

I love that he was willing to see things from her perspective and to try learning empathy for her. And I love that he helped her find her voice after the traumatic experience from her childhood. And I loved how much stronger Mia became and how she came more into herself with him.

I'm excited to get into God of Fury next and to finally get Brandon and Nikolai's story after all the teasers of them featured in the previous books.

Landon and Mia! These two were a hot mess, but I loved this one more than the previous book, especially the pacing. In this book, we go back a few times, and instead of it being glossed over or done differently in this one, we actually see the scene play-by-play through Landon/Mia's POVs. I really loved the vet scene. Mia's also one of my favorites, and I cannot get enough of her story. She had a rough life before this book, and I'm curious to see if we ever get a book for her twin. The next book is about Bran and Nikolai, and I cannot wait. I don't get how these two will even get together, but we have been circling this mystery the whole series, and I cannot wait to finally learn more about these two. I always thought Bran and Landon were complete opposites, but we saw that might not be entirely true in this one. Anyway, even though I liked the pacing more in this book than the previous one, and the timeline was easier to follow, I copied the last book a bit. We even have a separate house that Mia and Landon disappear to. But I did like seeing them fixing it up and seeing a domestic side of Lan.
