This book is problematic to put lightly. Tries turning r@pe into a romance by playing it off after the fact as kink when that's not at all how that kink works in reality. The mythological connection in this book is very obscure and forced. Even serious scenes the author tries forcing sexual tension and it just does not work. The only redeeming factors are that there are some good scenes and some decent dialogue on healing (but most of that is clouded with trauma bonding and toxic relationships).

I love a story that makes me uncomfortable enough with the tension and trigger warnings, yet I still love it.

This is one of the stories. The only reason it isn’t a five because I really want it a little more drawn out tension or maybe some more scenes of their life after everything’s finally settled.

But overall great story!

Thank you Sav R. Miller for being my first....stalker romance read :) I fell in love with Promises and Pomegranates (also my favorite fruit), so I was beyond excited for Vipers and Virtuosos. I went in blind and I'm thrilled I did. Although I will never smell or see peppermints the same again ;)

For me, the spice-to-plot ratio was spot-on for me. Goldilocks perfection on that front. That first scene, at the front door while talking to Caleb - well, that will live rent free in my mind for the long haul. The dirty talk made me swoon and to have some interaction with Kal again made me grin from ear to ear.

Like I said, this was my first go-round with a stalker romance, and I was surprised at just how much I liked it. I was happy that it didn't come out of nowhere and that it grew from their one night together three years prior.

Check TWs but this book I would strongly recommend. Over and over again :)
