*listened to on Audible, narrated by the man himself, Stephen Fry*

What an absolute delight! After bingeing Lore Olympus, I was very interested to learn more about Greek Mythology, and there couldn't have been a more perfect way to do so. Fry's humour and cynicism shines through to make this an incredibly enjoyable experience.

I absolutely recommend listening to the audiobook!

Absolutely incredible. I listened to the audiobook version and it felt just like we were sat around a campfire or in an amphitheater, listening to someone who’d lived the myths retell them.

Easy to digest, fun and full of familiar characters but retold in a really engaging modern way. I can’t recommend this book enough.

Some beautiful prose and excellent weaving of disparate threads occasionally mixed in with Fry's earthy (in the sense of unfortunately crass) humour.

I loved it! Good writing tone, funny, entertaining, and let you know the basic knowledge so simply.

Loved the book, really captivating, and interesting stories. The order in which it is written is great for a start on mythology.
The writing is pretty good for a re-storytelling book. The characters and their actions are very well described, and easy to love/dislike.

It reaches a lot of content in detail, but in a interesting, fun way. I will say that apart from the big events,
there were some small chapters/stories that I liked more than others, but overall a lot of them were good and enjoyable
Definitely give it a chance if you like mythology re-tellings, and silly fantasy stories.
It's a long book, but very easy to read. It's divided into small chapters, most of them being separated stories themselves about certain events or characters, that are easily finished. I would say that I wish there was an index on my book (not sure if there is on other editions), but loved the details on the end, as well as the great quality pictures along the book.

I found this quite a good escapist read. I struggle a bit with long reads and this book is over 400 pages long but as it isn't a novel in the main sense, its full of shorter stories and not one long and detailed novel as such, it was easier to read without losing track too much of intricacies I think. Its quite immersive and while it does take a while to get through, its certainly not a bad read. Yes I'd recommend this book.
