I really loved this book. It is very easily digestible, yet it displays a complex view of the human experience. This is a great quick read.

I thought I would give this book a try and at first it was interesting to understand the relationship between Margo and Quentin. However, as the story got on, the plot line died a little - it got slow.
Until the third section of the book where Q takes a road trip with his friends.

The ending was a bit of a letdown, I expected more of a meaningful relationship that formed between Margo and Q, but it mainly focused on their past lives and made up stories from 10-year old Margo.

The characters were easy to understand and from it you can see why each and every one of them got on with one another or why did they not. However, the character of Ben can be quite grotesque with the vast amount of sexual and genitalia comments which can make for a difficult read at times, but I see where the author is coming from.

The ending is beautiful, I love the sentiment and the prose. Unfortunately in the rest of the book the characters are insufferable and disappointingly typically-2008 teenagers using ableist and homophobic slurs every third paragraph.

This was a low three stars for me. It was an over-hyped book, for one thing. Also, this book had a punchy beginning and I was ready for a good story, but it was so boring. The whole book was very repetitive. I thought while reading this, that I would rate it 2.5 or 2.75 stars, however, the only saving grace was the 3rd part of the book, especially the last ten pages or so because they were so poetic and beautifully written. You can definitely tell that John Green is a great writer and that he has a sense of humor and I will definitely read all of his other books.

This book took so many turns I did not expect. It’s very exciting and gives you the urge to go on an adventure. It also made me appreciate the bonds that I have between people. Idk it’s a thinking book that definitely can adjust your perspective on things! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a slightly confusing adventure! I didn’t love the ending just cause it’s not what I wished for but it made sense for the characters.
