Need to start by saying this is NOT a romance - actually, the whole story takes place over a day/48 hours tops, I'd say, so to have a heroine already with someone, get separated geographically from said boyfriend, meet a new guy in Paris...and fall for him right away (while still in a couple) would not have been a romance heroine, nor someone a romance lover would really get behind.
That being said and out of the way, when you read it as a sort of coming-of-age story, of a woman coming into her own, facing her past, her shadows, the depths of her heart, all while strolling around Paris during one day accompanied by a man who knows himself and isn't afraid to push her to face her fears and all those closed doors in her heart? Then yes, it is a very good read which takes you on a journey both through Paris and through Hannah growing/coming into her own along the way. I really enjoyed this part of the book, even though I was tempted to give up quite a few times because Hannah was borderline insufferable at times (seriously, the scene in the train station in Paris? Almost did me in... but then when you really ponder where Hannah is in her mindset at that stage, well, it's understandable then) Leo was no piece of cake, either...but he didn't have to be, as he was the voice of 'reason' in Hannah awakening and he played that part really well.
It did take a bit long to get to the culmination which happens really at the end of the book, but take this book as a lazy stroll along Paris, with Hannah, and you'll be set for a good time

Quick, light hearted read. Leo and Hannah were great characters and the story line was fun!

Really cute, easy read. Might be slightly more biased bc I read it while in Paris/Italy

This was very well written and I really felt like I got to know the characters. However, since the book only takes place over the course of one day, I didn't feel like I was rooting for the couple. I almost felt like there was so much potential to delve into all the characters more towards the end, so that the ending would have a more emotional ending. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Hannah and Leo, but I also felt like there could have been so much explored in Hannah's personal storyline as well as what happens between her and Simon.

Loved this book! The way this book took me on a lil journey across Paris just touched my heart. Also the writing was so easy and I could literally visualise the places as the characters were describing them. Loved Hannah’s sense of humour and inner dialogues a lot. Also love how this book didn’t make this insta lovey (which I had kinda expected it to be the insta love trope by reading the blurb but was pleasantly surprised when it wasn’t). The ending was realistic so added points for that! This book was pure escapism!!!

The Paris setting was fun, but I didn't like how the main character was continually described as helpless or a victim that people needed to save, and then so much conflict conveniently is fixed at the end - "oh, my mom isn't so bad after all, and our relationship has been complicated for no reason!" The time skip ending felt like a cop-out.
