The story for this one started out strong and the pacing was nice. The more you went on the more of-course you realise there were secrets. The ending had a twist you wouldn’t see coming as there was no hints or implications and it just seemed to make it a bit meh for me. I like a book where you can kind of guess, maybe aren’t necessarily right. But there’s the element of a guessing game and this book didn’t have it for me.

But the story overall was good and the book had me continuing to read on to see what happened next so..

Pretty good read, I am usually pretty good at guessing the plot straight away, I didn't untill it pretty much gave it away with this book, however the romance plot was a total dead end, not sure why it was even added if it lead nowhere. Overall an okay book.

My first audiobook and I absolutely loved it! The narrators were wonderful and the storyline was even better; a very twisty, well executed novel. I did guess one of the main twists but this didn’t affect the atmospheric and enjoyable experience I had with this novel. I would definitely like to read another Claire Douglas book in the future, her portrayal of different characters was marvellous.

It was an okay book. Good, but not great A quick read, but pretty unremarkable in the end. The character development was a bit off, and the story lags some in the middle. This sounds like I hated the book, I didn't Just when compared to this authors others works, and even other books in this genre, this one is pretty run of the mill.
