SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING
I enjoyed this book a lot. This was my first Jane Austen book and I plan to continue reading her work. However, I was a little dissatisfied by the ending. I felt that Elinor and Marianne got married off rather hastily. I knew all along, without any spoilers, that one of them would end up with Brandon and the other with a Ferrars brother. I felt that then ending was rushed. I wished we were able to see the wedding of Elinor and Edward at the very least, but it was just brushed over. I know that in this time period marriages often took place quickly, so I guess I can’t complain too much, but I wish there was a little more there at the end. The rest of the book was flushed out (sometimes a little too much) that I felt that the end flew by too quickly.

Knowing the story didn't stop me from hoping Marianne would come to her senses sooner, wishing Elinor never met Lucy Steele, and wondering why I keep loving Jane Austen's moralism. Perhaps observant wit and stunning use of dialog to shape characters and forward the plot have something to do with the enduring fascination.

I think I would have enjoyed this more if I hadn't watched the movie first, I don't know, it was a little slow going for me. I missed Margaret who was and was not there. It feels like there was no point to her lol.
