I hope there’s a sequel because there was some stuff at the end that felt unfinished. But it was very good otherwise it’s definitely going in my permanent collection.

I could recommend it based on Jess Taylor's fantastic illustrations alone, but it is also a nice YA story with a trans main character and a black disabled lesbian. I'm giving it 3,5 since I found the pacing odd, missed more empathy towards Taelyr's family, and the ending left some loose ends I'd like to see tied up, but perhaps the author was hoping to make a follow-up volume. I think it could hit bullseye for a younger reader than me.

I really loved this comic! It was just very sweet and I really liked the writing - especially the descriptions of how dysphoria feels and what makes up a galaxy. It was almost poetic.

The artwork was also really amazing with a fantastic color palette and well conceived characters. I loved the disability representation. The whole story was a really strong allegory for coming of age as a trans femme and experiences of transmisogyny. Very well done!

My only complaint is that the pacing felt a little off, like things were rushed and developed too quickly. But overall, this comic was truly a gem.

Saw this on Hoopla and decided to check it out. I’m glad I did. This was such a great allegory for the trans experience and I loved the characters. I don’t read DC Comics often but I have been enjoying the newer graphic novels.
