I enjoyed this one enough, but I know it got a lot of buzz, and I wanted to see what it was all about. There were some pretty good twists and turns in here, and I found myself pretty quickly getting to know this group - I will say, being from a sorority myself, some of the stereotypes seemed wildly stereotypical surrounding Greek Life, and wasn’t necessarily *my* experience, but overall I enjoyed this thriller, and would definitely be open to reading another work from Winstead.

all the negative reviews for this are so valid. the main character is annoying, unreliable, and unlikable (borderline insufferable), the friend group is messy and toxic, the plot and reveals are dramatic. and yet i loved it all

it definitely got a little ridiculous towards the end but i still enjoyed everything leading up to it. however i do live for tv dramas so i think if you enjoy those, you’d like this book! however as far as murder mystery, whodunnit goes, it’s not the best and you may be disappointed if you’re not interested in the messy lives of college students

minus a point for false advertising bc there was in fact no knife in this. they were scissors
