Some of the stories were boring and some were creepy but others were like, what the hell is going on? I wonder if any of them could happen in real life.

Some of these stories were good and some were not. I would recommend this book. I enjoyed most of the stories in the book.

When I started this book, I enjoyed the stories. I particulary loved the Skin and Lamb to the Slaughter as they were really interesting, the only trouble was, the more I read them, the more boring they become. It was like the further into the book you go, the more the stories don't connect in your brain. Nothing really stuck after the first two. The deeper into the book I went, the more I disliked the stories. This annoyed me as I have never read a book by Roald Dahl that I haven't loved. He's one of my favourite authors - I grew up reading his work.

I'm extremely disapointed with the book, but I'm rating it 2/5 for the two stories that I really loved.

I enjoyed this collection a lot! The first two in particular were my favorite.
I'm very excited to read more of Roald Dahl's other books.

This was an interesting read, the majority of the stories kept my attention. I especially enjoyed the title story; Skin, Lamb to the slaughter, The sound machine and The Surgeon.

This collection of short stories is a bit of a mixed bag. At their best, they read like some of the more subtle episodes of the Twilight Zone. At their worst, they are predictable and obvious. All told, it is worth reading for the few select stories that are truly wonderful. Don't expect the same child-appropriate tone of the BFG or James and The Giant Peach from Skin, either.
