a beautifully crafted beginning to one of the most amazing and life changing series I have ever read. here’s to my fifth time reading this novel. especially coming back to this after TBOSAS, you can tell that Suzanne Collins set her story up with a sharp pen.

I blew through this. I couldn't put it down. Katniss, as a character, has more depth than the movie did her justice. The mutated dog revelation was messed up.

loved it sm!!!

I never expected that reading the book would improve the story of the hunger games as much as it did! I have watched the movie many times, so I was familiar with the story, but the details in the book made me feel like I was discovering the story for the first time again. It also made me love the characters way more, especially Peeta and Haymitch.

The writing styles was also so pleasant and lively, I just couldn’t put it down. Definitely a new favorite, 5/5 stars<3
