I agree with a previous reviewer in saying that this was marketed the wrong way. The synopsis leads you to believe that this is a Middle Grade adventure story. When really it’s a fairytale within a story most of the time. The fact that I went into this with different expectations threw me off while I was reading. Until I accepted that this was actually a unique retelling of the fairytale Snow White. The blurb has done a huge disservice to this wonderful book by portraying it as something it’s not.

This is a book that really made me think about how we as a society value time. Would you skip the “bad days” if you had the capability? If every day of your life was a “happy” one, would you yourself be happy?
“But one can cry even when the sun shines outside, and laugh when it’s raining and windy.” Rainy days are one of my favorite things in life, so if we just skipped them forever.. I would be heartbroken.

I enjoyed this so much, and now I’ll be checking out all of the authors’ future works.

Thank you to Edelweiss+ and the publisher for providing

(A Viola névnél szinte bármi jobb lett volna, amúgy.)
