I've never made a review for a book that I read in the past, but I'm going to make an exception for this book (and the prolific series that it spawned).

I read these when I was maybe twelve or thirteen years old and fell in love with every book. I rode horses for a few years, never really got into that horse-obsession phase that some people have, but I sure as hell did love these books. They were innocent and engrossing, perfect small books to get a tween or early teen to read, and I went through them on a book-per-day basis. Although I can't remember names or plotlines now, I remember loving with all of my heart these books, all of their characters, and all of the horses.

I read the Heartland series as I was growing up. I felt like I could relate to the main character in the book because she was very passionate about horses and I was too.

Always love rereading this one. It's definitely full of angst and overly dramatic, but so heartwarming at the same time.

I might been overly involved with this novel bit I have my reason. But still it is a really good book and I already know that I will be in a treat for the rest of the books.

Nice environment, good character development and of course horses!

Cheesy and more juvenile than I remember (interestingly enough the original English version reads more juvenile than the Dutch translation) but still touching and good
