Such an interesting concept for a story. I had been wanting to read this book for awhile and noticed it recently became available on KU. So I grabbed it up and read it in a day. As the reader, I was able to use the context cues and foreshadowing to figure out what was going on, but it didn’t ruin the story for me at all. I thought Joe was a fabulous character and although I found Sadie a little ditzy, the fact she had a brain condition made that make more sense (I work with someone who has  brain condition and sometimes she has these sorts of issues as well). The “face blindness” was fascinating to me and the way it affected Sadie’s ability to paint portraits was devastating but also allowed her to explore another side of creativity. The way she felt so alone—even her BFF left her hanging at a time in her life when she needed support—made me hurt for her. Throughout the book, I laughed, I cried, I got mad at her family, I swooned. All the feels!

9/10. This movie is 1000% a Wattpad book in the best way. I devoured it because it was so interesting and a good romance. Also, I figured out the twist beforehand (no spoilers!) but it still blew my mind! The romance really made me feel things, I love the love interest! I definitely recommend it.

What a cute read! And not your typical romance, which I enjoyed.

After minor brain surgery, Sadie Montgomery wakes up with face blindness. She can see faces—eyes, nose, mouth—but her brain struggles to recognize who is who. As a human, it’s horrifying. As an artist, it’s potentially career-ending, especially when you’ve landing a top spot in a prestigious photorealistic portrait contest.

This feel-good fiction is about so much more than falling in love. It’s about growing up, finding independence, realizing asking for help isn’t the end of the world, learning to let go, dealing with medical battles, and being true to yourself. I won’t say that it was predictable (read the acknowledgments!), but the anticipation throughout the story was a fun ride.
