There's a wide range of subjects and styles in this collection of modern, adult fairytales from a sweet story about a handkerchief that just wants a nose to blow, to the dark titular tale.
As with any short story collection it's a slightly mixed bag, but all are interesting and each has something to say. I particularly liked the retelling of Snow White from the point of view of the huntsman, the story about a man who befriends a snake and the author's very different take on Peter Pan.
