**My thanks to NetGalley and EntangledPublishing LLC, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I really enjoyed this hot little book.

This is a kind of behind the scenes of book one where Ellie gets together with Tyler.

Melody who has just been released from a ten year engagement finds herself drawn to the new chief fireman Josh.

To be fair though with the way he has been looking at her and how long shes waited to feel like a woman who can blame her for going after what she wants.

The lust between them sizzles, but slowly becomes something more than they bargained for.

Ginny and Roger are wonderful friends for Melody and I really hope that Ginny gets her HEA. She deserves it.

This is the second of Samanthe Beck's scorchers set in Bluelick, after PRIVATE PRACTICE. Events in LIGHT HER FIRE overlap events in PRIVATE PRACTICE. LIGHT HER FIRE can be read as a standalone, but you'd be depriving yourself of a excellent read if you don't read PP first.

Melody is fresh from a broken, 10-year farce of an engagement. When Bluelick gains a new, sexy fire chief from Cincinnati, he catches her eye. Josh can't keep his eyes off...her...either.

Melody is a Bluelick girl, through and through. But she's ready for some excitement. Josh thinks of Bluelick as a backwards town that is simply a stepping stone to something bigger. But he can enjoy Melody while he's there. They are soon involved in a no-strings, casual, scorching hot affair.

Nothing goes as expected. Just as they become close, they become farther apart than ever.

This book made me smile, fan myself, smile, cry...it really messed with my emotions. The restroom scene will stay with me--I felt Melody's heartache and disillusionment. That, in my opinion, makes for a good book.

LIGHT HER FIRE is a fast read, but is packed with the hallmarks of a good book. Okay, so I guessed the villain of the subplot. No biggie. I enjoyed what really mattered.

Ok this book was seriously steamy goodness. I mean our hero is a freaking sexy firefighter, so it was bound to be good right? Correct friends!

We met Melody in the first book of the "Private Pleasures" series while following Ellie and Tyler's story. Melody just so happened to be Rogers ex-fiancé and friend. Yes, THAT Roger! The one Ellie was hell-bent on trying to nab but couldn't see that Roger was swinging for the other team. And Josh we saw briefly as well in Ellie's story but not enough to leave a huge impression, aside from the caught in the act sexytimes taking place in Ellie's office exam room between Melody and Josh which occurs in this book with the parallel timelines taking place. But moving on...

I really enjoyed this story. I wasn't sure if I would find Melody all that interesting, but I was pleasantly surprised. She was such a sweetheart and genuinely a nice person, which is another impression we got from Ellie's story as well. In this book we get to see into her head and heart, and really see what kind of scars she had left over from her relationship with Roger. Which weren't too many but they were definitely lasting and thankfully she got them figured out with the help of both Josh and Roger.

Josh was just a hottie. I mean he was this dirty talking alpha and it was in the best way possible. Phew! He really helped Melody regain her confidence post-Roger. He was ambitious and itching to achieve his goals sooner rather than later which was what led him to Bluelick in the first place. Although he grows to enjoy the small town life Bluelick provides by the end for a good long while he never saw Bluelick as a permanent possibility. He compared it to his life in Cincinnati and it always fell short of the mark. He was convinced he wanted certain things, hoping to follow in his late father's footsteps when I think he never gave himself a chance to really figure out what it is HE wanted instead.

Melody and Josh together was good stuff. The banter, the dirty talk, the sex. So good. But it was great to see these two people come together and simultaneously heal Melody and open Josh's eyes to more than what he allowed himself to want. Josh was incredibly endearing with his growing tenderness toward Melody. He was such a gruff manly man who knew what he wanted and liked it hard and dirty. Melody not only gave it back in spades when they went head to head but he really brought her back to life I think. Those two had sent amazing chemistry.

Definitely my fave book of this series. Only complaint was Josh always calling Melody by the nickname "Bluelick" - which he explained was because she was the best damn thing about this town when she asked but still. It's such an odd town name but to constantly use it as an endearing nickname just felt weird sometimes. It was he least romantic endearment he coulda used but it's hardly a deal breaker.

Oh, I liked this one. There was something about Josh that just made my toes curl. He’s a fireman first of all and he wants Melody Merritt but he has heard that she is too prim and proper for his taste so he admires from afar and doesn’t touch. Melody, on the other hand, wants Josh but can’t seem to get him to make his move until one day she does it for him. That starts off this whole, lust worthy relationship between the two. Let me just say: the office, the porch, the kitchen, the truck, basically the everything was hot.

It was a great steamy book but it also had some really good laughs in throughout the pages. The relationship between Melody and Josh was not only hot but also funny and Melody’s friends brought a few laughs on their own. I am especially excited that the next book is about Ginny and the mystery man that has been seen in the town of Bluelick.

What I didn’t see coming was the end. I’m talking about the confession at the end that Beck had me thinking it was someone else the whole time; it was definitely not what I was expecting. Also, I thought the sweet ending to their story was absolutely perfect for these two characters.

This book was so worth the wait I loved every aspect of it from the characters, to the storyline, to the emotions, to the smoking hot sex. It made me laugh oh so loud, it even made me a bit teary eyed. It contains a cast of lovable characters well except for one who I will not name because I don't want to spoil it for anyone but I will say this I didn't care for him the moment he walked on to the page. This is hands down my fave Samanthe Beck book and I absolutely cannot wait for more in this series.

I actually loved reading this. I enjoyed it more than book one, and it might just be because I really liked the characters that much more. I loved the action going on in the town, and the sex wasn't the same stale thing I see everywhere else. It wasn't like it was super different, but the energy and emotions made it so much more. Excited to read book three, hopefully I get to it soon lol

Wow! This was a hot one! Melody just got out of a 10 year relationship and the whole town is saying that her fiance dumped her because she was too boring in bed. She has the reputation of being a good girl. Josh moved to the small town of Bluelick from Cincinnati to be the fire chief. He's sexy and has a dirty mouth. The sexual chemistry between these two was off-the-charts HOT! The steamy scenes in this book were smoking hot! My only complaint would be that I really didn't feel a real connection between these two characters until about 60% into the book. They obviously had great sexual chemistry but I would've liked a little more build up to their relationship and maybe a little more character development. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the other books in this series.

This was an easy, enjoyable read. It went by quickly but there was plenty of story in the pages. The couple was fun to read about and it had an awesome epilogue.
