I read this when I was younger and wanted my own babysitters club, it was great to revisit it in a new format. The illustration style was great and I liked that it tackled real problems such as health and family dynamics

This was so much fun to revisit because I loved the Babysitters Club growing up. Raina Telgemeier did a great job.

Loved this series as a child and I loved this first edition remade as a graphic novel by Raina Telgemeier. Raina captures the characters so well and this would be a great way to hook students new to the series. In this book, Kristy gets an idea to form a Babysitters Club to help her friends and clients consolidate their babysitting efforts. The girls learn about babysitting and each other as their friendships are tested by the formation of the new club. Love, love, love!

Raina is the perfect fit to kick off the graphic novel era of the BSC.
I confess that Kristy was never my favorite as a kid (and I have worked with more than one adult Kristy in my professional life), but I nonetheless enjoyed her story that ran parallel to the founding of the club. Like others I have read in this series, this book was quite true to the original, though we 90s kids know it is sheep that are in. 🐑

I love these books. They are so easy and fun to read, and the artwork is amazing. It's simple but really gets the point across. Hopefully soon I can continue on with this series.

For some reason, I actually think a little bit is lost in the graphic novel, but that could just be me; I read the BSC series growing up and was super into it! The graphic novel is definitely a faithful to the original story, and is a fun read, but for me personally the charm will always be in the novels. :) Also, Telgemeier's backgrounds in here are incredibly bland? It just wasn't very enjoyable to look at as it could have been.
