Love this series and once I got over the disappointment that it took 116 pages to explain why what happened at the end of Dark Chocolate Demise wasn't continued right away, I was fine. I don't want to reveal too many details if you haven't read DCD, but if you have you know how it ends!

Mel, Tate and Angie are off on another adventure this time in Las Vegas - and just in time for an Elvis convention, after all what is Vegas without Elvis?! And the plan to franchise the cupcake shop. It is set up for us not to like Holly, the franchisee, at first but she is more like Mel than you would think at first. However, someone does not want to see her succeed...or is it tied to Joe's mob case back in Scottsdale? It could be either.

I laughed at the antics of Marty and Oz, they are quite the characters (and not just in the book!). The mystery is well written because I didn't suspect who it was until right when he/she was revealed. The romance portion has its ups and downs and the ending leaves you hanging again, much like in DCD.

Now I have to wait forever for the next book to come out...ok, maybe not forever, but long enough!

Interesting and fun. Glad to seem some characters finally getting their act together. Twist at the ending was also fun, but a little sad. Hopefully joy comes in the next book.

I can't believe how quickly I'm working my way through this series. It is such an entertaining read that when I sit down and open a book in the series I am transported to Arizona and don't want to put the book down. Vanilla Beaned was another fun installment. It's nice to see Mel growing and coming around to the franchise opportunity. This takes Mel, Angie and Tate to Vegas. I loved the Vegas setting and of course it didn't stop Mel from getting into trouble. Who know that owning a cupcake bakery could be such a hazardous profession. Even though the trio were in Vegas, we still go to see some of the regulars make an appearance. I liked this book because it resolved or moved along a couple of story lines in a direction that I think works. I was surprised that I figured out the identity of Holly's stalker but as I have said since I started the series, it is more about the strength of the characters and the mysteries often play a secondary role.

Angie and Tate have finally convinced Mel to agree to open a franchise for Fairy Tale Cupcakes. They all fly to Las Vegas to scope out possible locations and meet Holly, the show girl turned baker who will be running the shop. Mel is vindicated when the location they look at is blown up, someone drives through the window and Holly's home is shot up, taking this all a sign that she should not be franchising. The more time that passes and the more she gets to know Holly, the more she realizes that Holly is more than glam and glitz and there is no one more deserving to run their Vegas branch. Mel, Angie and Tate can't figure out if these scary events are caused by their rival Olivia, back in Arizona, or someone going after Holly, but they are determined to find out!

Absolutely love this series.
