Great book except the use of slang. Think about your target audience. People may text like that, but I don't know anyone who talks like that: sitch? natch? These are supposedly adults talking, not teenagers who might actually use those words (though I know plenty of teenagers and none of them talk like that).

I should know better. It was a normal work afternoon and I was waiting for my conference call to start. So I picked up this book and read a few pages. I was hooked and couldn’t wait until I had some time to open it back up. But here’s the worst “I should know better” - it was 12:30 and I was awake; picked up the book and read til I finished it at 4 in the morning!
Okay, so you take the cupcake crew to Vegas, throw in an adorable five year old girl and her showgirl mom, an explosion, and 3000 Elvis impersonators- you’ve got a book that you aren’t going to put down.

I love the series and can’t wait for Mel and Joe to finally get together. However her character is starting to bother me with how she always sticks her nose in other people’s business and gets herself in trouble.

That ending? Wow!! Really was not expecting that. Poor Mel and Joe.

The bakery is expanding by opening a new franchise location in Las Vegas and Mel has been reluctant from the get go. When viewing the potential new locations doesn’t go as planned, Mel’s reluctance grows even more as they figure out who the potential target is. Is it Holly the new franchise owner or is it connected to the case Joe is still trying? Mel and the gang must work together to keep each other safe and figure out what’s going on in Sin City. The ending isn’t quite as cliffhanger-y as the previous books but it’s still a doozy.
