5 stars for the series overall, more like 3 stars for the ending. Endings are hard to do well. This one just felt too neatly wrapped up and too easy. Overall I would have loved to see .

**Combined review vols 19-20**
All of the plans laid out by Norman, Emma, and Ray finally come to their end game - The demons are all in the capital celebrating their holiest of days; Emma has found the Entrance they have been searching for, and she is determined to make a new Promise that will allow her family to be free; The “Evil Blooded” ones have been found, and the Ratri Clan is trying to keep their strangle-hold on the current order of farms of children and the hierarchy of demons. None of the paths these characters take are completely without their hitches, but all of them for the many different groups of characters lead them to reunite where it all began: Grace Field House.

4 years later and I finished this manga series.
I can’t say I adored it, though the beginning was incredible. The first few volumes were without a doubt the strongest in my opinion, everything after Goldie Pond was just fine otherwise.
I didn’t care for the ending and I didn’t like Emma at all as a character, I found her optimism to be frustrating and unrealistic considering the subject matter BUT there were some really good scenes and parts in this series. I also despised the conveniences but it goes with the territory of some manga I suppose.
Still a really cool concept overall and I’m happy to have finished it finally.

This ended far too soon. I loved it and all, but don't leave me hanging like that. I want more! We deserved to see more of what the characters all worked towards!
