I loved this book so much, it just took me almost 100 pages before I got really into it, and It might be because I took breaks in between reading but honestly this book was just amazing to read. It was so good that I didn't want to put it down but I also did because I didn't want to finish the book and the world, their characters and lives to all be over. But eventually I just sat down and read just over two hundred pages in one day cause that's how into the book I was.

I would recommend reading the first two book first (obviously) to understand this book but I thoroughly enjoyed the writing, the character devolvement and the revel of traitors and the exciting but very welcomed twist and turns that were around every corner. I loved this book to bits and I would have given it 5 stars, but it just took me a while to fully get into it, but I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who will listen to me talk about it.

After reading the first two books and rating them both five stars I was nervous this one would not hold up. While it was not my favorite of the trilogy it definitely held up and was an excellent conclusion to all of the story set up in the first two books. I had no lingering questions, and while I would always want more time with these characters I think it ended perfectly.

Not even a third of the way through, I was certain this book would exceed my love for the first book and I was right. I love the growth of the characters and watching both Jude and Cardan learn how to shed the lessons they learned about themselves and love from their toxic parental figures, learn how to have ambition without greed, and learn how to find their strength in their vulnerabilities. I was reluctant to finish this book because I wasn't ready to say goodbye to this story.

I truly love the inclusion of Ben, Hazel, and Severine as well as the inclusion of their lore. It was nice having references of them before. But to see them and have Jude interact with them was a great addition to the world.

don’t know if I’m in the minority here or not or if it’s because I’m sleep deprived but I am absolutely IN LOVE with this book.

Holly Black, you’ve done it again. The massive conflict between the Crown and Judes father, who commands an army of his own. There are several surprises in store in this book, as well as a truly stunning transformation for Carden. I really loved this book, and I’m very sad the series is over. 10/10 would recommend.

I’m a little sad the Folk of the Air trilogy is over. Luckily there’s still one more book about the High King of Elfhame for me to read! The Queen of Nothing was another dazzling part of the story and I love how there were so many plot twists to begin with! I could finally go back to not hating certain characters in peace again. Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (4.5 out of 5 stars) from me!

I do wish we could have seen more from Cardan through this story though. Holly Black could write a whole book about just him interacting with Jude and her family and I’d read it at least twice.

And Jude, I want to be like Jude. Usually you imagine yourself as the main character so you can fall in love with the dashing male protagonist but I’d actually want to be her because she is so cool and brave and strong and cunning. 🗡🐍
