Umm… I—

What? Where was the closure? The explanation? I’m sitting here trying to figure out what just happened. The story could’ve been so great with a few more pages.

Did he kill her?
Did he kill his dad?
How did his dad die?
Did she kill him when she burned the cabin down?
Why/how was Laura speaking to her through hallucinations?
What was up with the cabin that it “spoke” to so many damn people?
Did she just start a major forest fire?

Ama is excited to go away with the guy she’s been dating for four months to his cabin away from the city. Once there things get a little creepy and she learns some things about his ex-wife. As things escalate, Ama has to decide what to do.

I really want to know what happens to Ama after this.

You can read this story two ways -- one allowing for some degree of supernatural intervention, one where the POV character is going mad. I'm not sure the ambiguity is entirely intended, though? Like it felt like it needed just a touch or two here or there to maintain the ambiguity.
