This newest book by Emily Banting certainly lives up to expectations. I really enjoy the 'haughty ice queen and the tenacious, quirky woman who melts her heart' trope, so when Ms Banting contacted me about being an ARC reader for this one, I eagerly accepted.

Arte's a semi-wandering artist who is forced to move back home after a big loss and deal with all the fallout from that, including the financial straits and run-down hotel she's inherited.

Charlotte is the heiress to a posh hotel chain. She's spent her life trying to live up to everything that means, even if that includes doing things that aren't really representative of who she is or what she wants to do.

When Arte's grandmother's choice to sign up for a hotel renovation reality TV show brings them together, sparks fly on-screen and off.

This book is a bit lighter than others I've read by this author, although there's still plenty of drama and conflict. And I do enjoy reading about older women doing the thing, living their lives, and just being human. The guaranteed happily ever after ending doesn't hurt either. 😉
