So much fun.
This book started slower than her other novels, but boy when it got going it was great. I love when the sadist comes out to play.

Not gonna lie, this was cute. I mean, Anne Bishop Black Jewels cute, so simultaneously insane and cute, but still.
The whole rings thing in this series . . . I mean . . . really. Cannot take remotely seriously. Makes the title and the cover hilarious. That is all.

A solid 4.5 stars!
It's been awhile since I've read anything by Anne Bishop. Having lost a dear friend who introduced me to her writing, I hesitated getting back to this series. Recently, I decided it was time to continue my quest with The Black Jewels. As always, Anne Bishop did not disappoint. Her writing is always so very colorful. When I first started reading this one, I was slightly lost, but in no time at all I recalled the previous storyline. I'm looking forward to continuing on this amazing journey with her.
