This wasn’t for me. It was boring and repetitive, and the characters fell flat, especially Dahlia.

The plot wasn’t as interesting as the other books in the series too.

The only reason why I enjoyed this was reading how unhinged Deimos is. Deimos was well and truly unhinged and surprisingly, I was in for the ride.

Sadly, I didn’t like or enjoy their love story. The flashbacks were okay but I don’t think it worked well with this type of story also. Hopefully others will enjoy it more than I did.

What is it about an obsessed psychopath that just gets the blood pumping...and not just in fear?!? Your guess is as good as mine...I'm thinking this may be one of my toxic traits! Deimos Drakos does not disappoint in this department. This man exudes everything that is masculine and forbidden with so much anger behind it. *shiver* Well i'm clearly not the only toxic woman out there as Dahlia Roy seems to be into it as well. Dahlia and Deimos both have traumatic baggage that they can't seem to get free of. I'm always a fan of Jagger's storylines and this one is no exception. Veiled in mystery and deceit the storyline snags you right away and doesn't let go until you're shaking your head at the end wondering how you could've possibly not put it together sooner. But alas, I didn't.
I enjoyed the dynamic between the two of them, it was enemies to lovers but I like being able to feel that obsession on both sides and there was a lot of it. These two as much as they claimed to hate each other were obsessed from the moment they laid eyes on each other. I ate it up!
I read this book in one go as I just couldn't get enough and that is why I will always read a Jagger Cole novel.

Jagger Cole's books are becoming my personal sort of addiction at this point. Honestly, whenever I start reading this author's books, the first time I put it back down is when I reach "the end".
Needless to say I finished (aka devoured) this one in a day.

I was so looking forward to finally meeting the mysterious and dark Deimos and let me tell you, his story didn't disappoint.

I'd say Deimos is the definition of a morally grey character, while his past is the definition of pure hell. He's bearing so many demons and so much darkness around him that it's truly heartbreaking.

But then, in the middle of all that darkness, a spark of a new feeling arises the moment he sees her—a woman he promised to destroy should she ever dare make an appearance. No matter how hard he fights to walk away, the desire to stay true to his word and seek his vengeance speaks louder than anything. He realizes there's no point in fighting; it's time to act.

The connection between the main characters is unlike anything I read before. They share a past and a bond so incredibly strong and intense which leaves me speechless.
I loved every minute of learning their stories. From the past till the present, I devoured their every moment and every word written on those pages.

They both carry so much weight on their shoulders which would never be healthy for each other, and yet somehow it becomes a blessing in their lives, bringing them together in a way they probably didn't think possible, despite both of them wishing for it more than anything in the world at some point.

I have no words for their story and this book. It's incredibly written, Jagger Cole has this fantastic ability and talent to suck you into the story from the very beginning.
The level of spice in this book is headspinning 🌶️🌶️🌶️ the author outdid himself with this one. It's wicked, it's dark, it's so damn hot you can never get enough. The thrill, the suspense, the twists and turns are absolutely incredible.

I'm so sad that this series have come to an end, but at the same time, I'm so excited for what Jagger Cole has in store for us. Judging by all the books I read so far, it'll be nothing short to amazing, and I absolutely cannot wait.

Thank you so much Valentine PR and Jagger Cole for the ARC of this book, and for this thrilling and emotional ride. 🖤

Dahlia and Deimos are made for each other. They're perfect together, and all that chemistry on the pages, wow!

Holy Smokes. This was my FAVOURITE of the series. 100%. The relationship between these two was the darkest and most twisted one yet and it was so hot. Despite having repeat tropes like the virgin FMC and non-committal MMC and more, it was still five stars. Usually i’d get bored if a series had repeats like this, but it works so well in this universe of the series. Deimos is by far my favourite (kind of tied with Cillian though) because he’s twisted and who doesn’t love that. I believe this is my all time favourite Mafia Series! Definitely going to start the new Venomous Gods series by this author now! (Even though i have no patience when it comes to waiting for books in a series, i’m sure the wait will definitely be worth it)
