It took me a while to get into this book. Once I did, I really enjoyed it. The end was the only part that felt slow and a little rushed. I feel like more detail could have been added and the ending was just rushed by. That was the only part I didn't like.

Pacey as always. An impossibility as always. A place I love, Antarctica, that's why I bought this. And I love escaping with NUMA to adventures that take me away from my life. Shame Cussler died in 2020, but plenty more NUMA books to read. We need escapism and its heroes.

This was a fun, fast-paced read. Good for getting out of reading slump. The ending was a little too clean for my liking, but the ride was still enjoyable

Fast Ice, book #18 ties in Nazi exploration of the South Pole in 1939. In the present day, Kurt and Joe headed to Antarctica to find a missing former NUMA (National Underwater and Marine Agency) colleague and her team. Clues led to a climate fanatic mad scientist who wants to start the next ice age.

As much as I was excited about Antarctica, the middle part felt long before a thrilling ending!

Just another fun Kurt Austin adventure as he and his team save the world from another group of megalomaniac who wants to start a new ice age! It was fun to read but I like all these stories so I might be kind of biased.
