Not quite as gripping as number 3 in the series, this one delves a little bit more into Enola's realtionship with Sherlock. Still, this series is better written than most adult historical novels, and has so much Victorian atmosphere you forget it's the 21st century.

I am constantly enthralled by everything that this series has to offer! Enola has the level of confidence I think many of us aspire to have. The solutions she comes up with and the drive she has is inspiring.

I must say, I'm hoping she and the "left handed lady" get in business together. They're both like-minded individuals and have already relied on one another twice now. I think Enola would quite adore the company, and the "left handed lady" would more than enjoy the freedom and friendship. I truly do hope that ends up unfolding as the story goes on.

This book actually made me laugh out loud. Enola is such a delight and paired with Springer's beautiful writing style, I'd say it's a highly enjoyable read. I love that Enola is portrayed as trying to be mature for her age, but in her depths, she is still a lost teenager with her mind wandering to thoughts of her mother. Looking forward to more in this series.
