strange, strange, beautiful, strange, all over the place.

What can one do with a past?
What I mean is, what can we do with our bodies?

Inclusion is sometimes just more people performing labor to hold up the bullshit.

Even when imagining takes us away, it still begins with what’s already here.

We’re all telling ourselves a story, as we try
to understand where we’ve arrived.

(admittedly i think my brain was a bit too rotten from covid to fully appreciate the first two-thirds of this one.)

absolutely gorgeous wording and split storytelling combined with musings on art and embodiment, plus some random history mixed in.

Really enjoyed this!! Feels like it was made for me, the way it blends together personal reflective and art exploration, memoir and relationships and manifesto.

one way i judge a good book is if i finish it and immediately want to read it again. this one definitely falls into that camp
