Utterly scathing and hilarious remarks on the Pakistani dictator and his regime. For those saying that the narrative style is disjointed, it's because the author has to move around multiple scenes to create layers of intrigue. This book contains one of the most satisfying endings I've read in a while.

Uhg. Totaal mijn ding niet. Laat het ons daar maar op houden. Schone cover. Dat wel.

I chose the book based on the cover and title, and that's really all the book has going for it. I didn't particularly enjoy the book but I didn't hate it either.

It can be an interesting book if you don't know much about Zia Al Huq. He is considered as one of the most notorious leader Pakistan ever had. His cruelty is so well known making it difficult for me to pass a few pages especially when the author try to humanize him in this book. It's a little bit heavy with a facts filled with aviation. The cruelty and seniority in army also has been discussed briefly in this. The religion spirituality possessed by some of the characters in the book seems to be joking around in a matter of a religion rather than embodying it. Still, it's a great book. In its own randomness and bluntness, it managed to convey the author's unorthodox writing style.
