at first, this book was quite slow, it bored me at times... but by the end of it it has completely captivated you and it's very beautifully written. the associations with astronomy, how it talks about life and death (and love) made me shed a couple tears. it's a pity i only started to like it more than halfway through it. I'm glad my philosophy teacher made us read it, and I'm also glad that it isn't even 200 pages long, otherwise I would have dropped it, probably.
