Audible Audiobook
Sigh. This book. I can’t with this main character, I just can’t. It’s been 2 weeks & a dozen rereads of my favorite books & I still can’t unsee the word “zaddy.” A guy who lets his daughter walk all over him (I know we all do it,) falls for someone we’re supposed to think is a free spirit, but she’s really just passing time until she has to go back to a corporate job. So basically, all the stuff she’s teaching this young girl is going to be moot in a few months.
His daughter hires the new, “free-spirited” nanny & sets about her summer of doing nothing. The nanny is neurotic as hell on the inside. Being in her head is tiresome.
I can’t quite believe the love story between these two. They spend just as much time hiding from each other as they do talking/sexing each other. She spends most of her time talking in her head & thinking he should read her mind. I’m seriously tired of characters (mainly female) written this way.
Stop writing female characters who never say anything out loud!!
