I enjoyed this collection the more I read it. It’s nature nonfiction that varies wildly in content depending on the author. Some go into detail about animal behavior, some discuss conservation needs, some simply reminisce on a brushing experience with an animal. There were more Aboriginal contributors in the second half of the collection, it seemed. I really enjoyed learning a bit more about the different cultures and their relationships to different species.
