Entertaining, but the ending didn't feel earned, and I'm scratching my head over the inclusion of the unnecessary back stories of a couple of characters.

I really enjoyed [b:There's Someone Inside Your House|15797848|There's Someone Inside Your House|Stephanie Perkins|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1493650191l/15797848._SY75_.jpg|21520760] so I went into this with high expectations but bloody hell this was a mess. Literally nothing happened till 100 pages in and then from that point everything felt rushed and silly.

definitely liked this a little more than There’s Someone Inside Your House. and there were a couple times where i truly felt anxiety because of the suspense. however, i wish i felt connected and cared about the characters more, and j think i didn’t quite get there because of how short it was. there wasn’t much time for development, or for me to grow attached to the characters enough to really care what happened to them. and it took about half the book for any suspense to even start. ultimately not the worst, but not a new favorite or anything. if you’re looking for a short survival book, i would really recommend Be Not Far From Me by Mindy Mcginnis which i loved.

3.5….as if I needed another reason to literally never go camping or backpacking. I was on the edge of my seat until the end and it kinda fell flat.

It was so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that’s not possible. So, I’ll give you a 1.

Gosh, where do I begin? That was disappointing because I definitely came in not expecting anything. From zero expectations to just-no.

Neena and Josie, two best friends, were recent high school graduates and wanted to go for camping before Neena goes to college. My question was why camping?

Both of them had no prior experience (except for Josie but she did it when she was a literal child) of camping in the woods. When both of them were reminded on to what they were supposed to do, they ignored it. Neena wore JEANS the whole time in the woods. Fikir logic lah, tak straining ke pakai jeans? At least wear joggers???

Both of the characters were so angry at each other the whole trip because one was dependent on the other, and another was jealous of the other for going to college. What in the teenage logic is that? They’re both were supposed to be sapphic but they were not even supporting each other as best friends? Like what even?

Don’t even get me started with the villains and the plot. Villains? Idiotic hillbillies. Honestly, I don’t even want to question why hillbillies were even written in this book.

The whole book was a mess. I just want to throw it out.

Book was courtesy of @definitelybooks. Thank you so much for this review copy. It wasn’t for me, perhaps it will be for others.

it was alright :/ i expected more thriller but it took over half the book to get to the thriller, what’s in the woods part. then when the thriller happened, it lasted like 50 pages and then ended … no my fav

It was all just happenstance and none of the characters were likeable.
