Before the Coffee Gets Cold consists of four bittersweet stories that manage to shine a light on each characters humanity. This book showed me the sweetness in second chances and trying again.
The writing could have been better and the detailed descriptions of each characters outfits were a bit off-putting.

First Japanese literature I've read.
Here are my thoughts.
Japanese literature that are in English are translated versions. I have observed that the sentences translated are very straight to the point — it's like it has no emotions on it. I wonder if it is same with the Japanese ver.
Ex. "Siya ay namatay"
So many repetitive words. Lalo na sa reminder na "drink before the coffee gets cold".
I like the idea that you can go back to the past and do nothing with it because it can't change anything and the fact that it can also travel to future (but no one did since they are very focused with going to past). This proves na hirap talaga mag-move on ang tao.
I liked the second story. The letter ata 'yun. It was sad. I feel very emotional kanina sa bus while reading it. It's painful to read.
The first part was "meh, it's mid", there are lackings, the ending was so shit. The third was "wtf was that?" I know she is in pain, but pipiligin mo to do things ay nakakainis. Speaking of, I am really curious anong itsura nung babae sa cafe nung hinila-hila niya yung ghost kuno. The fourth one, I don't understand a thing JSBKAHSJAJ
I had a hard time to read this. 229 pages lang pero hays may pasok kasi
Overall, it was a mid read. Idk lang if babasahin ko pa yung second-fourth ng series but yeaa, convos in this book is books.
