An absolutely tooth-achingly sweet fairytale of a story! Although predictable in its structure and plot, with some clunky dialogue here and there, as well as being a bit too on the nose (subtlety is non existent here if you're looking for that), I couldn't help but feel so warm and fuzzy about this quirky cast of characters by the end! Once you embrace the story for the fairytale it is, it really feels like a warm hug in book form. <3
Felt right to be reading this around the holidays as well with how heartwarming it is!

love all the children and the found family, but I didn’t connect to Linus at all and this story was so so sappy. As someone else said: this is a book for those without barnacles on their heart, and I have barnacles on mine
