[I got the arc from NetGalley]
It's so lovely! it's about two teenagers who try to figure out how to fit in this world and complete each other. Moreover, the pictures are eye-popping and the story is great. This book is perfect for the one-sitting read. Also, I find it calming to reading Zoc. Absolutely, love it!

Not sure if I love the story much but the artwork is a treat for eyes. This is something very much inspired from Ghibli I feel.

Thank you Europe Comics and NetGalley fro the ARC.
Unfortunately, this book was not for me. I appreciate that the writer seemed to want to tell a tale that you might find in old folk stories. In fact it reminds me a lot of some Japanese and Chinese folk stories, but it's a story I could also see comfortably being in a collection that included Paul Bunyun.
And, while I'm found some joy in those types of stories in past, this story just didn't do much for me. The art style was interesting, but not really my cup of tea. It felt a bit like a simplified manga. So while I appreciate what Jade Khoo was trying to do here, none of it spoke to me.

J'ai trouvé l'intrigue génial, les couleurs sont magnifiques et les métaphores diverses. Je recommande!

Thanks to Netgalley and Europe Comics for this ARC!
Beautiful! I loved this so much. The story is so wholesome. The art style is charming and the characters are delightful. I loved the concepts of Zoc’s magic and the minstrels were very cool. And their relationship with Kael was lovely. Honestly this reminded me of a Ghibli movie which for anyone familiar with them is the highest compliment. This book was such a work of art and I loved every minute of it!

A raw and heart-warming story of friendship and self-discovery. Zoc retells the lonely, uneventful life of a girl with a magic hair, until she decided to pursue her heart's desires and found companionship along the way with unique and heartfelt storytelling. I'm in love with this!
My gratitude to Dargaud France and Netgalley for providing me with an advanced reading copy of this graphic novel in exchange for an honest review.
